Sarah Gibson O.D.

Dr. Gibson is originally from Houston, Texas and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University. While there, she enjoyed completing community service projects in the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity and was also an officer in the Pre-Optometry Professional Society. She attended The New England College of Optometry where she was a member of the American Optometric Student Association and an outstanding member of the National Optometric Student Association, providing vision screenings to the Boston community. She graduated with her doctorate in 2011. Dr. Gibson believes in practicing patient-focused care, and increasing the quality of care by developing strong relationships with her patients. In her free time, Dr. Gibson enjoys reading, traveling, and watching game shows. She loves relaxing on her patio with her husband and baby and also cuddling inside with her cats.

Silvio Gurdian M.D.

Dr. Gurdian earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science from the University of South Alabama. He graduated at the top of his class from medical school at the University of Mississippi. Dr. Gurdian moved the Northwest to attend ophthalmology residency at Oregon Health Sciences University. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. A Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Gurdian is the author of several publications in basic and clinical science. He has focused his ophthalmic career to the practice of cataract and glaucoma surgery and has successfully performed thousands of ophthalmic procedures to restore eyesight. Dr. Gurdian has embraced and fostered modern techniques of ophthalmic surgery and has been published for his surgical accomplishments. During Dr. Gurdian’s 20 years of experience, he has served as the primary glaucoma surgeon for Southwest Washington for 14 years and the Salem Valley area for 3 years. Such extensive experience has made him into one of the most capable ophthalmic surgeons in our area. On his time off, Dr. Gurdian enjoys the natural beauty of the Northwest. His personal interests include snow and water sports, amateur astronomy, camping, and scuba. Dr. Gurdian is loved by his patients for his dedication to their eyesight and his kind bedside manner.
